FOR PARENTS

You can find all the information you need regarding Apex Youth in our information booklet.

Some questions you may have:

What is a Friday night like at Apex?

We run Fridays in 3 different parts. The first part is more of a chill time, where young people can get to know others, play football or simply just chill with their friends. We have a tuck shop where young people can buy drinks and sweets. This part runs for the first hour. At around 8pm we start our main programme. This consists of games, competitions, worship and a preach that inspires our young people to live for God and make a difference in the world. The third hour is made up of small groups. Our young people are mixed into groups that are age related. They will normally discuss what was spoken in the preach as well as how they are doing. This allows us to offer pastoral care for the young people that attends.

Are all the events and programmes supervised?

All of our programmes are supervised by over 18 leaders who are police checked and who we fully trust. We work on a ratio of 1 leader to every 8 young people who are under 18. This means that your child will definitely be looked after when they are with us. On trips away we work at a ratio of 1 leader to every 5 young people. Leaders on trips have a small group of young people that they would care for. All this is explained in the information for our trips away.

Does my child need a consent form to attend a Friday night?

Your child does not need a consent form to attend Apex on a Friday night, however they will be asked to complete an application form on their first night at Apex. On this we take details such as address and phone number so that we can be in contact if there is an emergency.

How much does it cost for my child to come to Apex?

There is no cost to coming on a Friday to Apex although we do sell drinks and sweets.
